Support Ahimsa House during GAgives on Giving Tuesday!

On Tuesday, December 2nd, Ahimsa House participated in #GAgives on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving! Giving Tuesday takes place across the world each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and in Georgia, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits organizes the GAgives on GivingTuesday campaign, giving organizations across the state a chance to win extra prizes throughout the day. Every year, GAgives is an important source of unrestricted funds for our program — particularly so this year, as we learned of a significant cut to our government funding in October 2025. Please click here to learn more about those cuts and what they mean for our organization.

Thank you so much to our supporters for contributing over $65,000 during this year’s campaign!

Holiday Fosters Needed

Become a Short-Term Foster (or a Long-term one!)

If you’ll be in town for any of the upcoming holidays, please consider becoming a temporary foster home for Ahimsa House pets. Not only do we need to place the pets currently in our program, but also prepare to accept more incoming survivors and their pets who escape during the holiday season. By fostering, you’ll help ensure these pets have a safe place to go, AND you’ll provide a bit of comfort to their humans, who will know their pets are spending the holiday with another loving family while they have to be apart.

*If you’ve just found Ahimsa House, please know we are always in need of fosters year-round! Typically, foster stays can last up to 60 days, but we welcome any amount of support you’re able to provide.

Holiday Donation Drive (3)

Host a Donation Drive

It takes a LOT of supplies to help people and pets reach safety together! We care for survivors’ pets for up to 60 days, and want to make sure pets and foster homes have everything they need during this time. Oftentimes, our clients had to flee with nothing but their pet(s), so we also send pets home with a big care package so clients can dedicate their own funds toward securing and furnishing their new, safe homes and other essentials.

Each holiday season, we are blown away by the support shown for our human and animal clients through donation drives. If you’d like to be a part of that this year, we invite you to use this image in your promotional efforts! Please visit ahimsahouse.org/donate to see our current wishlist or to order supplies via Amazon or Chewy.

Please reach out to Oné at one@ahimsahouse.org with any questions about hosting your donation drive!
