Raise money for Ahimsa House just by searching the Internet with GoodSearch

Please Consider a Donation to Ahimsa House

SunTrust will donate $100  to Ahimsa House when you:

• Open a new personal or business checking account before September 30,
• Make a purchase before November 15 with the Visa check card that comes with the account, and
• Complete and submit a redemption form by November 15, 2008.

Anyone can do this, and although most people groan and say they don't need another checking account, it's a relatively simple way to generate money for Ahimsa House.

Ahimsa House, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that provides shelter and aid to animals caught in the cycle of domestic violence.

Ahimsa House depends entirely on private funding from compassionate people who want to support a safe haven for these animals.

6. Tribute Donations

   Wondering what kind of gift to purchase for those hard-to-shop for people on your list? Consider a special contribution to Ahimsa House to honor the caring and generous spirit of your friends and family. This is a unique gift that makes a lasting impact throughout the year. Tribute donations can be made in honor or in memory of a special person, pet, or occasion. It may be a member of your family, a friend, a business associate, or a neighbor. These donations not only show how much you care about your special someone or pet, but they also show how much you care about the important work we do here at Ahimsa House. Honorary and Memorial gifts to Ahimsa House can express sympathy, love, appreciation, congratulations or best wishes to those you honor or remember. Also, we list these donations in our quarterly newsletter and in the Tribute section of our web site. If you make a gift of $100 or more honoring you own pet or in memory of a former pet, we invite you to include a short tribute and photo of your pet as well.
   
   When you make an honorary or memorial gift, Ahimsa House will send an appropriate, personalized acknowledgment to individuals or family members letting them know you’ve honored them or a loved one with a special donation to Ahimsa House. Also, we list these donations in our quarterly newsletter.

7. Corporate Gift Matching: Making Your Gift Go Further
   
   Many companies have programs through which they will "match" the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiply your gift to Ahimsa House, making it go further.
   
   Check with your (or your spouse’s) company's Human Resources office to see if they offer gift matching. (If they don't, you may want to ask your company to start one.) If your employer does offer this program, your Human Resources department should provide you with a matching gift form to send to Ahimsa House along with your donation.Complete this form and mail it with your donation to:
