How do I register for Walk 'N Wag?

You can register:

How much is the registration fee?

  • Adult :$25
  • Children 12 and under: $10 (with child size t-shirt only)
  • At the door: $30

Is the registration fee per person or per dog?

The registration fee is per person. You may bring more than one dog but they must be under control at all times.

Can I participate without a dog?

Please do join us and have fun with or without a dog.

Do I have to pay the registration fee if I just want to come in and look around?

We ask every participant to be registered.  Every registration benefits the human and animal victims of domestic violence. However, you are free to come in and peruse the vendor booths, listen to the music, shop the silent auction, and have some food and fun. Registration is required to participate in the pet parade and doggie contests, and to receive the goodie bags, bandanas, and door prizes.              

Can I register in advance but continue to collect pledges up until the day of Walk 'N Wag?

Yes. All pledges should be turned in on the morning of the event. Download a printable pledge form for your use and a pledge solicitation flyer to send to your friends.

I can’t attend Walk 'N Wag but would still like to raise pledges or make a donation to help the animals. Can I do that?

If you are unable to attend the event you may make a tax deductible donation of any amount and/or you may raise pledges. You will still be eligible for pledge prizes. Even if you cannot attend you may register and receive a t-shirt and dog bandana.

If you are unable to deliver the pledges on the day of the event, please deliver them to Carole Baker, 1151 Fairway Gardens NE, Atlanta, GA 30319 before October 23.

How do I register my dog for the contests?

You do not need to register your dog for the contests. At the time the contests are announced, just bring your dog to the stage area.

Can I buy extra t-shirts and bandanas?

Any remaining t-shirts and dog bandanas will be available for purchase at the registration table at 1:30

If I register on-line or by mail, how do I pick up my t-shirt?

You will pick up your t-shirt at the Registration table on the day of the event.

What time does the Walk n’ Wag walk start?

Registration begins at 9:00. The festivities begin at 10:00; the parade begins promptly at 11:00. After the parade, we will continue with the silent auction, games, contests, prizes, entertainment, food and vendor booths.

Why is it important that I be on time for the start of the parade?

The parade begins promptly at 11:00. If you want to walk with the others, you will need to be on time.

Where does Walk n’ Wag take place?

The festivities will take place at Chastain Park in Sandy Springs on the blue lot.

Where can I park?

On the day of the event (from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm) free parking  is available on the Upper Blue Lot in Chastain Park off of Stella Drive adjacent to the event location. See Directions to Walk N' Wag.
